Visit of Dr. D. Purandeswari, Minister of State for Commerce to Slovakia from 11-12 July, 2013

Dr. D. Purandeswari, Minister of State for Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry visited the Slovak Republic from 11-12 July, 2013 to co-Chair the 7th Session of India-Slovakia Joint Economic Committee held in Bratislava.

Aside from meetings with her counterpart, State Secretary for the Economy, Mr. Pavol Pavlis, Dr. Purandeswari and her delegation, which also included business representatives, met Mr. Peter Burian, State Secretary for Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic and called on Mr. Lubomir Vazny, Deputy Prime Minister for Investments of the Slovak Republic. During the two-day visit, discussions were held on further development of bilateral economic and business cooperation, especially in the auto, energy and tourism sectors. The JEC Session adopted a Protocol signed by the two co-Chairs.
