4th Smart Cities India 2018 Expo

Developing citizen friendly and economically viable cities is an urban initiative by the Government of India. Cities are engines of economic growth, and it is anticipated that 40% of India’s population will live in cities by 2030. With the rapid rise in the proportion of people living in urban areas, there is an increasing requirement for sustainable cities. Hence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mission of Smart Cities is intended to transform the lives and living conditions of the citizens of the country. Recognizing smart cities as an important platform to drive progressive change, the 4th Smart Cities India 2018 Expo will be supported by 4 other co-located expos to create "One Mega Event". 2nd Buildings India 2018 Expo

Sustainable Infrastructure is an integral part of the smart cities mission. Driving a nation’s social and economic development, cities are the centre of resource consumption. Today, as people moving towards urban areas, cities are facing the pressure to accommodate the growing population. According to the United Nations (UN), the global urban population surpassed the global rural population in 2007, and it predicts that 70% of the world’s population will be urban by 2050, with many cities having more than 10 million inhabitants. As the cities expand, it is imperative to invest in smart buildings and housing to enable smart cities of the future. Smart buildings are intelligent structures that significantly save time, energy and operating cost, with the help of smart technology and materials. It is estimated that smart buildings will save up to 30 percent of water consumption, 40 percent of energy consumption, and reduce the overall building maintenance costs by 10 to 30 percent. 3rd Solar India 2018 Expo

India is on course to emerge as a solar power hub, and will become one of the largest green energy producers in the world. This can be clearly seen from the fact that India has become the second-biggest solar-energy installer in the world in just two years. Also, according to estimates, Indian solar-energy capacity will get increased by 300 percent this year and next. The target is to achieve 100 GW of solar power capacity by 2022 with an estimated investment of around US$ 100 billion. The largest event of Chemicals and Petrochemical Industry in India, in its 10th edition i.e. India Chem 2018 would be organized jointly by the Department of Chemical and Petrochemicals, Government of India and FICCI. India's vibrant chemical and petrochemical industry plays a significant role in the economic development of our country.
