Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) - A Scheme of Ministry of Human Resource   Development, Government of India aims to facilitate admission for Foreign Nationals / Persons of Indian Origin  / Non-Resident Indians for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programmes in Engineering / Architecture / Planning in National Institutes of Technology, Indian Institutes of Information Technology, Schools of Planning and Architecture, and other premier Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) in India.

India can claim its position as one of the leading countries providing affordable higher education to its people as well as to students and scholars from countries all around the world. Students can be assured of experiences rich in traditions, heritage, and exposure to diverse culture which would enable them to acquire the necessary skills to succeed in today's global economy without geographical barriers.

The admissions to various UG and PG programmes of premier Institutes of India under the DASA scheme will be coordinated by Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology Nagpur INDIA for the year 2017-18.
