This is to inform that Government of India has established a Pravasi Bharatiya Kendra (PBK) in the prime location of Delhi i.e. Chanakyapuri, and this Kendra is now functional. This Kendra has various facilities including - an auditorium (capacity of over 300 persons), conference rooms (with different dimensions that can accommodate from 20 to 35 persons), class rooms that can be used for training sessions/workshops, a Banquet Hall having aesthetically elegant interior decor (can seat about 120 persons), and a restaurant area which can be used for larger sit-down of buffet lunches/dinners (over 300 for buffet), and 24 guest rooms. A modern Museum on Mahatma Gandhi which significant level of digital character, and a Library comprising about three thousand titles with orientation towards the Diaspora-related subjects/themes/authorship, are the added attractions. PBK has a regular high-quality in-house catering service, and has also engaged the services of well-trained hospitality personnel. Further, outsourced agencies provide round-the- clock security and housekeeping/maintenance services monitored by professionals.
The PBK has now developed into a sought-after venue for major events taking place in Delhi, organized by different government organizations, diplomatic Missions.
Any PIO living in Slovakia, with an OCI/PIO card, can book the guest rooms at PBK, directly, by writing to PBK at Email: reservations.pbk@mea.gov.in (Phone No. +91-11-24156400/24156430/24156405), booking of other facilities would be considered on case by case basis by this Mission. Indian Diaspora associations/Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Awardees, Office bearers of Indian Associations/Business Chambers/Overseas members of Board of Trustees of India Development Foundation of Overseas Indians/Governing Council of India Centre for Migration (ICM) are also among eligible categories to avail facilities of PBK, and they may approach this Mission for booking (Email: cons.bratislava@mea.gov.in. NRIs are not eligible for guest rooms at PBK, however, booking requests from NRIs for other facilities can be considered by this Mission on the merit of the case if it is related to pravasi affairs.
Needless to say that the facilities at PBK (excluding the Museum and the Library which are accessible to all visitors free of charge) are on payment basis, but the tariffs have been fixed at barest minimum to meet the operational cost only
