Ambassador's Farewell Call on Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic

Ambassador Harsh Kumar Jain made a farewell call on H.E. Miroslav Lajcak, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic on 20th November 2018. Mr. Lajcak warmly received Ambassador and thanked him for his personal contribution to deepening of bilateral relations between the two countries. He appreciated the latest developments in political and economic cooperation, exemplified by visit of Indian Minister of State for External Affairs Mr. M.J. Akbar to Bratislava in May and launch of Jaguar Land Rover plant in Nitra in October 2018. Mr. Lajcak expressed his belief that the investment of Jaguar Land Rover, part of Indian Tata Group, will make the Slovak market attractive to other potential Indian investors. They both agreed that the 10th Session of India-Slovak Joint Economic Committee expected to take place in February 2019 in Delhi will provide an opportunity for further strengthening of economic ties between the two countries.

Mr. Lajcak later invited Ambassador to his Office where a bust of Mahatma Gandhi is prominently displayed. He also showed him a copy of the seven sins described by Mahatma Gandhi that he kept on his table as a constant reminder to stay clear of these sins

Ambassador Jain will be returning to New Delhi on 3rd December 2018.
