The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is a premier industry body working to promote Brand India and Indian businesses. FICCI is the industry partner of the Government of India for the World Expo 2020 to be held in Dubai from 20 October, 2020 to 10 April, 2021. At this mega global event, FICCI will disseminate information on Indian products, businesses and services, invite investments into India and showcase the country's capabilities to the world. World Expos are held once in 5 years and are a 6 month long exposition providing an opportunity to the participating countries to present the latest and best in technology and new ideas to the global market. It is the world's largest meeting place, bringing together countries, the private sector, the civil society and the general public around interactive exhibitions, live shows, workshops, conferences and much more. The exposition in Dubai aims to bring together the world under a central theme of Connecting Minds, Creating the Future. The overall broader theme will be based on three sub-themes - Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability. 190 countries have confirmed their participation at the Expo, which is likely to attract a footfall of about 26 million people from across the world.
India is a Strategic Partner for the World Expo 2020 in Dubai and has one of the best plot for country pavilion. India's showcasing will be dynamic, presenting a constantly moving exposition over the six months. Representatives from Slovak industry are invited to contact FICCI to draw up joint programmes, investor and buyers meetings.
